She posesses telepathic communication and has an uncanny knack for healing from wounds overnight even when they are at their worst.

Now that her parent's are deceased, she moves into the family estate after being sheltered for years in the mountains by her overseer Vincent.

Her whole life she has been haunted by an unknown presence, however since her move it has grown stronger and with it her undying will to know who or what it is.

From the flap: Daenara experiences certain happenings, which shed light on facts previously unknown to her. One of these facts being that her own mother was also a vampire, and that the vampire that sired her mother has been following Daenara her entire life. Unfortunately, she also learns that her great uncle is in fact one of the oldest living vampires in the world, and has made it his life's mission to kill all of his descendants.

Daenara takes the plunge to become a vampire herself against all wishes of her loved ones. She is quick to learn her new powers and makes a kill as if she has been doing it for centuries. With this change she has desired all her life comes terror and betrayal, followed by distorted visions.

An enemy threatens Daenara by going to her Uncle with news of her existence, exposing everyone she loves. Precautions are taken and a plan to leave New Hope, Pennsylvania is set into motion immediately. Abruptly her Uncle's men cut the voyage short and Daenara is taken captive. Soon after her arrival at her Uncles she escapes and a dark, dangerous secret ultimately unfolds her true destiny, is revealed.

And so the battle begins...
